High Five Friday: Time to buy new school supplies!

In addition to renewing my focus on gratitude, I also want to work on celebrating things that I’ve done well. To that end, I found a great healthy living blog community writing prompt called High Five Friday. The idea is that we do so much in a week that we forget about, so this will be a great way to commemorate successes, achievements of note, and new abilities (not just health, happiness, or weight loss related).

highfivefriday6 High Five Friday: Time to buy new school supplies!

This week I’m celebrating my registration for college courses needed for a certification in eMarketing. I love the occasional projects I’m able to do with our Marketing and Social Media team at work, and would like to transition into that field full time. I’m adding this certification to my resume as a logical next step toward making that career change when the opportunity presents itself. I’m registered for three classes, two of which are wholly online and one with a lecture and lab on campus two evenings a week. It’s silly, I know, but I’m giddy with excitement at the thought of going back to school! (Anyone else here love buying new school supplies???)

Your turn: what have you done this week that deserves a high five?

  1. I baked some awesome 2 ingredient vegan, gluten, soy, nut free muffins! ha! I don’t bake so I consider this a crazy accomplishment! ;)

AND I LOVEEEEEEEEEE buying new school supplies! Sadly I am no longer in school, but every December I get GIDDY because I get to buy a new planner soon! lol!

    • Hi Gigi,

Thanks for the visit and the comment.

I am so glad to hear that I’m not the only paper goods geek left in the world! I used the new school schedule as an excuse – as though I needed one! – to pick up a new planner, too. It’s flowery and it came with a ton of stickers which makes me unreasonably happy. I really cannot wait to start classes but I fear that might wear off as all of my free time disappears into studying.

      Denise
