My name is Denise Elliott. The primary topic for this site is living with diabetes (type two) and clinical depression. I talk about my diabetes treatment (especially how I maintain normal blood sugar), offer tips and tricks for following a diabetes care plan (checking blood sugar levels, what I do to lower my blood sugar, and which foods are a part of this diabetic person’s diet), and share information about diabetes as I learn it. I’m not a medical professional but since February 2013 I have gone from fasting blood sugar levels of over 200 mg/dL to now seeing numbers between 80 and 90 mg/dL before breakfast without medication; I’ll share what I’ve learned along the way.
